Eva Verona Award
Guidelines
for awarding Eva Verona Award
Article 1.
Eva Verona Award shall be presented to young librarians, members of the Association, for their outstanding dedication to work, innovative practice and promotion of library profession. An award has been named after professor Eva Verona, prominent Croatian librarian and scholar.
Article 2.
An award shall be administered by the Head Board in accord with the recommendations of the Awards Committee. It shall be awarded at the Annual meeting of the Association (which is held every two years).
Article 3.
The Awards Committee shall be comprised of five members and shall elect a Chairperson from among its members.The Committee members' terms shall expire upon the presentation of the Charter.
Article 4.
Candidates for an award may be nominated by all members and professional bodies of the Association, libraries and members of the Awards Committee. Elaborated nominations shall be submitted to the Head Board. Candidates shall be under 35.
Article 5.
At a time, the Assembly shall award a maximum of five Awards.
Article 6.
The secretary of the Association shall keep the register of award recipients.
Article 7.
The Association shall inform the public about the award recipients through its publications and other means of mass communication.
Article 8.
Rules of procedure for awarding Eva Verona Award shall be adopted by the Head Board.
Article 9.
Guidelines for awarding Eva Verona Award shall be made public to the members of the Association at the Annual meeting. The revised text came into force on the day of issue, in Primošten, September 27, 1996.
