FCIL Schaffer Grant for Foreign Law Librarians - poziv (02.10.2013)

FCIL (Foreign, Comparative and International Law) Special Interest Section of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), objavio je poziv za dodjelu potpore Schaffer Grant for Foreign Law Librarians.
Rok za prijavu je 30. studenog 2013. godine.

We hope the European Bureau of Library, Information and Documentation Associations will spread the news about the FCIL Schaffer Grant for Foreign Law Librarians (money award). The Grant is an incredible opportunity for outstanding law librarians. The Grant subsidizes a foreign law librarian to attend the Annual Meeting of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), the world’s largest law librarian professional organization. The Grant is sponsored by the Foreign, Comparative and International Law Special Interest Section (FCIL-SIS) of AALL.

San Antonio, Texas, is the exciting venue for AALL’s 2014 Annual Meeting (July 12-15, 2014). The FCIL Schaffer Grant for Foreign Law Librarians waives AALL’s full registration fee and provides a grant of at least $2,000 to assist with hotel and airfare.

Please tell your membership about the FCIL Schaffer Grant for Foreign Law Librarians (money award). Please see the reports of previous Grantwinners Gloria Orrega Hoyos (Argentina), Ufuoma Lamikanra (Nigeria), Priya Rai (India), and Ahmadulluh Masoud (Afghanistan) on their wonderful experiences at the AALL Annual Meeting, and how their experiences have continued to inform their work as law librarians.

Applicants must be law librarians or other legal information professionals, currently employed in countries other than the United States, and with significant responsibility for the organization, preservation, or provision of legal information. The application deadline is November 30, 2013. The Grant Committee will not consider late or incomplete applications. Please note: Grant winners must pay all expenses in advance. Grant awards will only be disbursed shortly before or at the AALL Annual Meeting.

Details regarding the FCIL Schaffer Grant for Foreign Law Librarians as well as the application form can be found at http://www.aallnet.org/sections/fcil/grants-awards/FCIL-Schaffer-Grant.
